Fall 2010 * Las Vegas High School Food Challenge
Create A Change Now is organizing a Food Challenge Cook Off between the two top High Schools in Las Vegas – The Meadows & Faith Lutheran. Students will be assigned a top Las Vegas Award Winning Chef to work with and compete within each school. The winning teams will then compete with their Chef leader at a fundraiser dinner and silent auction hosted at the Red Rock Casino. Student Chefs will learn menu planning, costing out meals, nutritional values, presentation and more. The final event will be filmed and broadcasted on large screens in the ballroom with judging of the meals at the end. Funds raised at this event will help plant edible gardens and provide peer to peer nutritional education for economically challenged schools throughout the valley.
