Create A Change Now is a non-profit organization with three interrelated goals. We want to change the way families eat — and bring them back to the dinner table — by teaching their children how to cook healthy, nutritious, delicious meals. We want to provide children with a culinary foundation that lasts a lifetime. And, we want to encourage and teach young people to make healthier food choices that are tasty and enjoyable.

John Simmons, Executive Chef and Partner of Firefly* Restaurant has adopted the garden at Rose Warren Elementary School. With his generous donation will be able to begin planting in the fall. The garden will be called the Firefly* garden.

Thanks to John Simmons, Rose Warren Elementary School will be able to plant an edible school garden however, there are still other elementary schools who lack resources but are eager and ready to plant an edible school gardens. Adopt a school garden helps bridge that gap between local schools lacking resources and people who have the ability to help. School edible garden programs boost achievement, cultivate life skills, contribute to healthy lifestyles, and connect kids with nature through hands-on learning! We are hoping to produce a documentary film on this entire process from seed planting to harvest to kids cooking and eating what they grew.
